Aspen has always been about providing choice to libraries, and the 25.03 release includes multiple features that give libraries more options on what technologies they use and how information is presented to patrons. Grove will be presenting on all of these enhancements at the upcoming April 10th webinar, What’s New in Aspen.
Aspen Events
Library software has seen a trend towards all-in-one solutions to manage patron interactions from a single platform. Aspen believes that libraries should have a choice, so in addition to the four existing event platform integrations, Grove has now developed an event management platform entirely in Aspen!

Series Records
This release also includes an entirely new way to search materials - the Series Search! Aspen now includes Series Records that link to all titles in a series. Series records are created from series data in MARC records combined with series data from other sources such as eContent records and content enrichment sources. Aspen administrators can also edit Series Records by adding or subtracting titles owned or not owned by the library and making adjustments to the series title, description, author, and audience.

Updates to Web Resources
Web Resources in Aspen also saw a significant upgrade in how to present databases and specific websites in Aspen. With these updates, Aspen will now include an automatically-generated A-Z databases page, Category and Audience pages for Web Resources, as well as the ability to create custom Web Resources pages based on multiple categories and audiences. There will also be a new Web Resources Source Type to integrate into Web Builder pages and the ability to automatically create a Placard from an existing Web Resource.
