Grove for Libraries is pleased to announce the successful launch of Aspen Discovery for the Lynx Library Consortium. Aspen Discovery is supported by Grove for Libraries and integrates with the consortium’s Polaris integrated library system.

The Lynx Library Consortium partnered with Grove to transition their discovery service to Aspen, providing patrons with an enhanced user experience focused on patron empowerment, flexibility, and seamless access to library resources.

With Aspen Discovery, Lynx patrons can access physical and digital collections through a fully customizable interface that includes features such as full-screen browsing views, archives collections integration, Series Module functionality, and integrated events through LibCal. Aspen’s flexibility also allows the consortium to effectively manage discovery experiences across multiple libraries and locations while giving individual member libraries the ability to preserve their own look and feel and custom configurations, including tabbed grouped work displays and browse category layout.

“The Lynx Library Consortium is excited to launch Aspen, supported by Grove for Libraries,” said Brad Smith of the Lynx Library Consortium. “This new discovery layer further empowers our patrons to find physical and digital collections as well as other resources. Beyond searching for materials, Aspen connects our communities to relevant library information, programs, and events in one cohesive experience. Our staff looks forward to collaborating on Aspen’s future development to ensure it continues to meet the evolving needs of our patrons.”

“Working with Lynx and Brad Smith on the Lynx Aspen implementation was so much fun because they really dug in to customizing Aspen to make it their own,“ said Jordan Fields of Grove for Libraries. “They embraced many of the new Aspen features, and they brought so many ideas to the table. I’m looking forward to the impact that Lynx will have as a member of the larger Aspen community.”
