Grove Introduces New Edition Picker, Advanced Periodical Sorting, Customizable eContent Order, and More in Aspen 25.10

Grove is excited to announce the release of Aspen 25.10, featuring powerful new tools and over 125 enhancements, bug fixes, and updates designed to make discovery even more intuitive for both library staff and patrons.

One of Aspen’s signature strengths is its ability to group related editions, helping patrons find what they need without scrolling through endless versions of the same title. With 25.10, Aspen takes that experience further. A new personalized edition picker gives patrons who prefer to select a specific edition the option to always be prompted to do so—adding flexibility without sacrificing simplicity.

This release also introduces advanced periodical sorting by call number. Regardless of how publication dates are represented in a library’s records, Aspen can now intelligently sort periodicals in the correct chronological order, making it easier than ever to browse magazines, journals, and newspapers.

Libraries can also now customize the display order of eContent providers, prioritizing the vendors they want patrons to check first. Whether a library wants to highlight a particular platform or encourage use of certain collections, Aspen 25.10 puts that control directly in their hands.

With every release, Grove collaborates closely with libraries to ensure Aspen continues to evolve in ways that reflect their needs and priorities. The 25.10 release strengthens that commitment by helping staff serve their communities more effectively and making it easier for patrons to discover, access, and enjoy everything their library offers.

We’d like to thank the following libraries for sponsoring development from Grove for Aspen 25.10:
