Grove for Libraries announces the successful transition of Wasatch County Library to Grove-hosted and supported Aspen Discovery and Koha.

Wasatch County Library partnered with Grove for Libraries to expand its use of the open-source products, focusing on flexibility, collaboration, and improved patron experience.

With Aspen Discovery, patrons can search physical and digital collections in a single interface, including EBSCOhost databases and access to the University of Utah archives. The library also uses Aspen’s Series module for an enhanced browsing experience. Wasatch County Library uses Aspen’s Web Builder as its website, making its discovery layer a one-stop shop for patrons and staff.

Koha, the open-source integrated library system, supports the library’s circulation, cataloging, and patron management workflows.

The migration to Grove for Libraries was one of the smoothest large-scale technology projects our library has undertaken. The Grove team brought professionalism, preparation, and genuine enthusiasm to every step of the process, and their weekly guidance meetings quickly felt more like conversations with trusted partners than vendor check-ins. We are grateful for their support and look forward to building a long-term relationship as we continue improving services for both our patrons and staff.”
Juan Lee, Director of the Wasatch County Library
We are excited to welcome Wasatch County Library to the Grove community. Their team has embraced the flexibility and collaboration that working with open-source software makes possible for libraries, and we're excited to continue growing alongside them.”
